Contrast is the essence of a Pine Lime Splice. The creamy vanilla inside is contrasted by the tart pine lime exterior. The white sets off the bright green; the two colours literally spliced together. Pine Lime splices have given me a lot of joy so this mobile is an ode to this wonderful, eccentric treat. Pine Lime Splice is a flotilla of ice creams balanced precariously on metal twigs. Each ice cream is an original creation of white spliced with lime green, whilst the composition of the mobile is reminiscent of a chandelier – an ice cream chandelier!

Pine Lime Splice is a bright and irreverent artwork that radiates joy and vibrancy. Best installed at eye height or above, in a place where there is plenty of air movement and sunlight. From a distance the ice creams look like they are levitating by magic, whilst the detail and variations of colour can be enjoyed when viewed up close.
